iiS Fast Track Help Desk & PPM - Help Desk and Cyclical Maintenance software
|
Atrocious Weather –
software
can help solve problems |
|
November 2011 appears
to have been one of the warmest on record, but colder weather is on the
way and it’s doubtful that any of us have forgotten last December’s
weather. One of our customers in Kent
mentioned that some of his colleagues were hardly able to travel
to work at all in December 2010.
Utilising your Fast Track solutions, we wanted to mention a couple of ways we
can help your company recover from the disaster of severe weather:
LOG IN FROM HOME and
WEATHER-DRIVEN MAINTENANCE. |
|
LOG IN from
HOME
If you’re already using Web software, your staff can access your Fast
Track application from home (or anywhere else), simply by making the
application “internet facing”.
ROOM BOOKING operators can easily
manage the meeting chaos that bad weather causes,
from their homes.
HELP DESK staff can manage all
aspects of call logging and review, without having to venture into the
office. The Work Monitor image on the right could be seen by your
permitted staff from ANYWHERE.
If you’re using Fast Track Helpdesk & PPM, without a web component,
Web software
can be added with little cost or disruption. Once the
application is allowed to face the Internet, staff can review jobs, log
calls, look up essential contact information etc.

Weather-driven Maintenance
The latest versions of Fast Track Help Desk & PPM have extended asset
data which can hold information on problematic temperatures and wind
speeds. For each asset, the temperature below which difficulties may
be experienced, can be recorded. Providing a current or |
forecasted "Temp Now", means that assets which may
warrant concern are indicated. A "Hazard Windspeed" can
also be set for each
applicable asset, showing the wind speed above which the assets
may experience difficulties. When a "Wind Now" is provided
(for the current or forecasted wind speed), potentially
vulnerable assets will be clearly indicated.
The image on the right shows that the "Temp Now" values which
has been provided is TOO COLD
for the listed assets. |
|
 |
The final stage is to
generate
weather concern jobs
which specify assets, locations and
responsible parties. |
